Two times the miracle

I recently had the pleasure to meet this amazing family.  These twin boys were born at only 25 weeks, which as most of us know is only just past halfway through the pregnancy.  For them to have survived with such an early start is a true miracle.  I really got the sense that mum and dad knew that these babies were amazing blessings and they clearly are rejoicing in having their babies home with them, all healthy and happy.  The boys are now 5 months old, however due to their early arrival, they are actually only about 8 weeks past gestation.

Photographically they were more like 8 week olds as far as size and development went, a little past a newborn but certainly not at a traditional 5 month stage.  I was really so excited to be a part of this session, the boys were just a delight.  We couldn’t get them to sleep, cheeky monkeys, but we had lots of fun trying, hehe.  Mum is the tiniest thing and she can carry both of those boys around without blinking, I was struggling with one, but not her.  She’s a very determined woman and I love that she is just getting on with life, twins and all.  Both mum and dad just have such amazing attitudes to what must be a very busy time in their lives.

Enjoy this little sneak peek guys…

Beautiful work, love twin photos. They are so alike, I have no idea how they tell them apart but I guess Mum and Dad can. My fav is the one of them in Dad’s hands! Gorgeous.

awesome job, I love the one with the little one rubbing his chin, looks like he is planning something, but can’t pick just one favourite, no idea how mum and dad are going to choose. What a massive job these parents have done, they will be thrilled with these

An EXTREME CUTENESS ALERT would’ve been much appreciated! Mom and Dad do look like they already have a handle on things and they just go about their business, loving and cherishing these wee ones. What a precious gift and how well you captured it.
